Parallel to the theatrical activity carried out since she was a child with the "Piccola Ribalta" theater company of Venice directed by her father Carlo Russo, since the age of 10 she has dedicated herself to musical studies. She graduated with honors in Orchestral Conducting at the "A. Boito" Conservatory of Parma under the guidance of Maestro S. Rabaglia, where she also studied Violin with Prof. A. Cavalieri, in Composition at the "G. Verdi" Conservatory of Milan under the guidance of M °. B. Zanolini, in Choral Music and Choir Conducting at the Conservatory of Venice under the guidance of the M °. S. Vanzin and L. Berengo, in Canto at the "L. Campiani" Conservatory of Mantua under the guidance of Maestro. G. Schmidtgaden, in Band Instrumentation at the “F.A. Bonporti ”of Trento.
She graduated with honors from the two-year post-graduate course in musical disciplines with specialization in Conducting at the “B. Marcello ”of Venice.

After a debut in the middle school in 1982 which lasted only three years and alternated with theatrical activity, from 1991 she accepted teaching assignments abroad and in Italy. From 1991 to 1999 she taught in the Conservatories of Music of Verona, Bolzano, La Spezia, Adria and Castelfranco Veneto as an annual substitute in the Disciplines of Orchestral Exercises, Composition, Complementary Harmony, Reading and Vocal Piano for didactics, Choir Conducting for Teaching and Assistant to the Conductor M ° Emil Simon in the Faculty of Music Dima of Cluj Napoca (Romania). In 1986 she debuted as a young conductor at "Ravenna in Festival" conducting a show entitled "Paradise: four questions and four answers" and the following year 1987 directing the show "Djamileh" by G. Bizet both directed by L. Arruga.
She has also directed several opera productions including "Djamileh" by G. Bizet, "Rigoletto" by G. Verdi, "Così fan tutte" and "Don Giovanni" by W.A. Mozart, the contemporary Opera "Il Teatrino delle Maraviglie" by P. Furlani, "The Combat of Tancredi and Clorinda" by C. Monteverdi, "Medeè" by D. Milhaud, "Il Mondo della Luna" by J. She has collaborated as an accompanying pianist for the Singing Seminars of Leyla Gencer, Renata Scotto and Astrid Varnay and has repeatedly held the position of Maestro pianist of Sala (Prinzregententeather, Halle Opernhaus, Teatro alla Fenice in Venice).
The twenty-year collaboration with the Tölzerknabenchor of Munich, led her to realize, as Stimmbilderin, some production of "Zauberflote" by WA Mozart at important theaters such as the Munich Prinzregententheater, Chicago's Opera House, the Theater Carlo Felice of Genoa.

ARTISTIC ACTIVITY as SOPRANO
Simultaneously with her conducting activity she carried out an intense concert activity as Soprano, with the pseudonym of Ursula Joss, in the Baroque, Liederist and contemporary repertoire.
She collaborates with the composer Maurizio Pisati in the "Zone" project, for which she made her debut at the Teatro Studio in Milan, at the Piccolo Teatro Regio in Turin, at the Sala Maffeiana in Verona, at the Palazzina Liberty in Milan. She participated in the first absolute performance of the Messa in Si minor by G. Carli Ballola at the Sacred Music Festival of Bolzano and Trento.
She made her debut as "Pamina" in the "Zauberflöte" of W.A. Mozart under the direction of Maestro G. Schmidtgaden and subsequently of Maestro Ralph Ludewig, and in the role of "Cio-cio-san" in the "Madame Butterfly" by G. Puccini at the Chisenau National Opera in Moldova for the Festival of Spring 2002 under the direction of the M °. Corrado de Sessa.
She has collaborated with the vocal quartet "Cuiusvis Toni" as Soprano II with whom he made the first Italian performance of "Odisseus Women" by L. Andriessen. The compositional activity mainly includes arrangements of music created for the orchestras of the Conservatory orchestras where he worked.
However, there are also original compositions written and dedicated to prestigious soloists such as the Tölzernabenchor of Munich, the violinist Carlo Lazzari, the Quartetto Trame Sonore, the trumpet player Fabrizio Nasetti and the tubist Alessandro Ballarin.
In collaboration with the Associazione Music in Aulis of Bolzano on the occasion of the Recitals on music by various authors on a text by Dante Alighieri, she included her own composition entitled "Virgin Mother" on the text of the last song of the Divine Comedy Paradise.
Winner of the International Composition Competition organized by the Adkins Kiti Foundation for the piece entitled "In piedi Signori" for English Horn, Violin, Viola and Violoncello performed in November 2017 at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari on the occasion of the day against violence against women. She is been reported and finalist in other International Contests.
Since 2012 she has been President and Treasurer of the Cultural Association "Catterino Cavos" of Venice and has rediscovered the musical figure of the Venetian composer.
From 2017 she is President and Treasurer of the "Compagnia Teatrale" Small Ribalta Lirica "Association of Venice that deals with carrying out research and production activities linked to the figure of the Venetian playwright Carlo Goldoni, and to the musical work on the libretto by Carlo Goldoni.
